There are only 100 independent schools in Scotland and if you live outside of Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen, then regrettably you have a limited choice. At this time we can only rank the senior schools on the basis of Highers or A levels, but we do list schools for all ages on our search engine. In this section we cover 5 aspects of choosing an independent school in Scotland for your child.

Some schools have too small a sixth form for us to include them in the rankings. A few are offering the International Baccalaureate, in which case they will be covered in that section.
