Embley
What is Embley like?
Formerly Hampshire Collegiate College, Embley has recently rebranded and offers an exciting school environment for boys and girls from nursery through to 6th form. The school offers an exciting, in-depth curriculum, personalised to the needs of each pupil and encourages all students to discover their individual strengths and interests.
The main building is a grand old house, the childhood home of Florence Nightingale and is surrounded by beautiful Hampshire countryside. There is a golf course within the school grounds and plenty of open space for younger children to play. Recent investment has provided the school with state of the art teaching facilities and comfortable and inspiring communal spaces.
Embley has been extremely proactive in digitising the curriculum and all students and parents are able to access lessons online. This stood the school in good stead during the recent lockdowns and enables highly effective differentiation within lessons.
Whilst Embley is predominantly a day school, accommodation is available in a friendly, multi-cultural boarding house for a small number of students.
Would Embley be suitable for my child?
Embley offers a distinctive education which would suit all children and bring out their interests and talents, whether academic, sporting or artistic. For those looking for boarding it would be important to recognise that this is not a full-boarding school, but nevertheless offers safe and friendly accommodation for those that need it.
