Holmewood House is a large and vibrant prep school located on the outskirts of the affluent Kentish town of Tunbridge Wells. The school occupies a spacious campus surrounded by countryside and yet is within 10 minutes’ drive of the town centre. This is predominantly a day school but there are boarding places for around 40 children and a range of flexible options is available. The school buildings are a comfortable mixture of old and new, with recently refurbished science labs and bright new classrooms.

Sport is strong at Holmewood and there is a swimming pool and rifle range. Drama, art and music are all very good with various orchestras and ensembles.

This is an academically successful school and children progress to top senior schools. Some leave at the end of Year 6 to attend the competitive local state grammar schools but the majority stay until the age of 13.
