Sandroyd School

Rushmore House, Tollard Royal, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP5 5QD, United Kingdom

Sandroyd is a traditional country prep school in beautiful, safe surroundings. It is a school where children are allowed to be children, with plenty of space to play and lots to keep them busy. Unusually for a prep school, there are on-site equestrian facilities so it will appeal to children with ponies. Other sports facilities include an indoor pool, and children can do fencing, archery and polo as well as the usual team games.

Academically, there is a strong emphasis on reading and class sizes are small, with an average of 12 and a maximum of 16. Children progress to a range of top senior schools, including Eton, Radley, St Mary’s Calne and Canford.

One of Sandroyd’s unique features is the ‘Strive’ programme, introduced by Headmaster, Alastair Speers, which involves children from Year 3 upwards taking part in stimulating weekly sessions designed to build the key skills of self-confidence, questioning and resilience.

Boarding is available on a full or flexi-basis and most children become boarders by the final two years.
